Justin Hoy is a Vermont educator and dean of students. Since 1998, his work with young people has included youth services, behavior support, prevention, restorative practice, PBIS, and school leadership in school and community settings.
He studied education at Goddard College, including Aesthetic Education, Children’s Literature, curriculum work, and the independent study Learning Through the Arts, developed with students at Twinfield Union School.
Teach It Better grew out of that day-to-day work: preventing avoidable conflict, responding when a moment becomes difficult, holding accountability without humiliation, and helping students return to learning.
